| How
we work
Guardian
Angels Childcare is a small friendly agency established in
2004 and growing at a steady pace. Our ethos is great quality
childcare at an affordable price. As working mum's both of
us understand that for most families childcare is a very expensive
business. We were fed up with overpriced and overrated agencies
offering sub-standard care and asking parents for large sums
of money for placement fees. So many people no longer have
family close by to "help out" and so Guardian Angels
Childcare have established a well-respected babysitting service,
which has been particularly successful, as not everyone needs
a full or part time nanny.
As
parents we both understand your concerns; leaving your children
with a complete stranger has the potential to leave you feeling
nauseous and breaking out in hot sweats - but Guardian Angels
Childcare do not sign any nannies in haste. We ensure you
that no stone is left unturned in checking references and
suitability, which can cause a slight delay in the placement
of your carer but provides the reassurance that we would expect.
Guardian Angels Childcare would not place a nanny who we did
not feel was capable of looking after the most precious people
in our lives.
All
our Guardian Angels Childcare nannies need to hold a current
fully enhanced disclosure (Criminal Records Bureau check),
paediatric first aid certificate and 2 years checkable references.
We must also see good interaction with Guardian Angels Childcare's
silent partner, Mel's young daughter Neive, who currently
helps us judge a good nanny by how well they can dress a Barbie
and how dramatically they can tell a story. Parents of older
children may well know that children can often be very good
judges of character, so we do find that Neive earns her salary
at the end of the week.
One
of the ways we feel we can put your mind at ease is by visiting
all our families prior to placing any nannies with them, this
is completely without obligation but helps us get a feel for
your family and also seems a nice way for you to put a face
to the voice.
